Vendella Ceroll, 92, of Webster died Mon., Jan., 9 at Strand-Kjorsvig Home, Roslyn.
Vendella was born on June 23, 1924 near Holmquist, SD to Peter and Elizabeth (Anderson) Lindholm. She attended country school through 8th grade then she graduated from high school in Watertown where she was the Valedictorian of her graduating class. She would than attend Northern Normal Teachers College where she received her teaching certificate.
In 1948, she married Ernest Gruby in Waubay. Vendella taught in country schools around the Pickerel Lake Area for most of her career. She retired at the age of 65 from the Roslyn School District. Ernest passed away in August of 1992.
Vendella than met and married LeRoy Ceroll in 2000 they lived in Webster until due to her failing health she entered into Strand-Kjorsvig Rest Home in Roslyn.
Vendella was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, and Christ the King Choir.
Vendella enjoyed teaching following retirement she continued to teach CCD, loved doing art work, playing cards, traveling, and playing Bingo.
Grateful for having shared her life is her husband; LeRoy of Webster, one daughter; Lynn (Jerry) Maag of Crosby, MN, two granddaughters; Sharon Lowe friend Tony, Julie (Jason) Tavener, and three grandsons; Brian (Kelli) Maag, Bradley (Lorna) Maag, and Jody Gruby, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one husband, one son, several brothers and sisters.
