Mass of Christian Burial for Phillip Biczkowski, 63, of Grenville will be 10:30 am, Saturday, August 30th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Father Thomas Cool presiding. Military honors will be provided by Webster American Legion Post #40.

Visitation will be held at Coester Funeral Home on Friday from 5-8pm, with a rosary at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Phillip passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2008 in Roslyn.


Phillip Biczkowski was born on July 17, 1945 to Phillip F. and Angeline (Snaza) Biczkowski in Webster. He attended grade school in Grenville and graduated from Rosyln High School. Following school, Phillip enlisted in the SD National Guard. He worked for Morris Bawek near Conde and later at Mereen Johnson's Foundry. Phillip returned to Grenville and farmed with his brother for many years. In 2003, he became a resident of Strand Kjorsvig Community Rest Home in Roslyn.

Phillip was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grenville. His hobbies included reading, fishing, and farming. Phillip also enjoyed spending time with his dogs and visiting with friends and neighbors.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his two brothers; Alfred (Bonnie) Biczkowski of Webster, LeRoy (Mary Jo) Biczkowski of Maplewood, MN, one sister, Doris (Paul) Rivard of Summerset, WI, his aunts, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents and grandparents.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of the American Legion Post #40.

Pallbearers will be Greg Rivard, Evan Biczkowski, Eric Snaza, David Snaza, David Fromelt and John Fromelt.
