Mary Koslowski, 84, of Grenville, SD passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Avera St. Luke's Hospital, Aberdeen.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 Sat. June 20, 2009 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 Friday at St. Joseph's Church, Grenville with a prayer service at 7:00 at the church.

Mary was born on February 2, 1925 in Chicago, IL to George and Mary (Slazyk) Sliwa.

She married Tony Koslowski Oct. 26, 1946 in Chicago, IL. Following their marriage they moved to the Grenville area where they lived on Tony's family farm. She was a friend and confidant to many, listening without judgement. Mary will be remembered for her sense of humor and compassionate heart. She passed on the love of music to her children and grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared her life is her three daughters; Donna Koslowski of Carol Stream, IL, Judy Koslowski of Chicago, IL, Kathy (Doug) Carter of Aberdeen, SD, and one son; Mike Koslowski of Grenville, SD, four grandchildren which she was extremely proud of; Shane, Sara, Madison, & Colton, and one sister; Jenny (Jack) Strauss of Chicago, IL. Mary was the caring Aunt and sometimes second mom to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Patrick, one daughter-in-law Jeannette Koslowski.
