Obituary

Marsha Ann Myers was born January 23, 1951 in Montevideo Minnesota to Clyde and Laura Bergstrom Myers. She passed away on March 26, 2023 at Sanford Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 72. Marsha began her early years in Andover, SD. She attended elementary school in Andover and after the school closed she went to Groton to complete her schooling. While in Groton she enjoyed playing trumpet in the band. It was a really big deal to her that they got to travel and march all around the area and they were highly recognized for their superb efforts!

After graduating from Groton in 1969, Marsha began taking classes at the Aberdeen School of Commerce. She completed that training and worked for a local attorney following graduation. She married Darwin Peckham in 1971. To that Union two children were born, Darla and Dennis.

Living on a farm was new to Marsha, after growing up in town. Marsha's love of animals really began there, on that farm. She had chickens, cows, sheep, cats and dogs. It didn't take long for her to buy a few sheep and begin her flock. Over 30 plus years Marsha raised some of the finest Hampshire sheep in the area.  Animals were her passion. She always said the worst day was the day the lambs went to market.  Marsha's life revolved around animals and the number that Marsha helped save is too many to count. She loved them all and we know they were there to greet her as she crossed over.

She was a simple lady, with simple needs. She didn't need anything fancy to be happy. She needed her family, her home and her animals.

She was so loved and will be missed by so many.

Marsha is survived by her husband Darwin, her daughter Darla and Todd Halvorsen. Son Dennis and Amy Peckham. Her grandchildren, Zachery, Jesse and Rachel Halvorsen, Mason, Madison and Marshall Peckham, sister Sandy and Jimmy Willis, sister in law Julie Myers, niece Laura and Cory Formaneck and daughters Hailey and Mackenzie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura and Clyde Myers, and abrother Dean Myers.

In lieu of flowers the family will be donating all proceeds to animal welfare organizations in Marsha's name. That would make her happy.
