Margaret "Peggy" Monson, 86, of Crocker died Thur., Apr. 25 at her residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 Tues., Apr. 30 at Christ The King Catholic Church, Webster.  Burial will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery, Crocker.

Visitation will be from 5-7 Mon at Christ the King Catholic Church ending with a Prayer Service.

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother passed away in her home on April 25, 2024. Margaret "Peggy" Ann DesLauriers was born on June 23, 1937 to Lester and Frances (Bertsch) DesLauriers. She graduated from Thorpe School. On January 22, 1957 Peggy married LeRoy Monson at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Turton, SD.

Together they raised 7 children: Jean, Judy, Jeff, John, Jim, Jerry, Jennifer. Peggy enjoyed gardening, watching sports, going for drives on the backroads and was always up for a game of cards "scat". Her greatest pleasure was spending time with family. Her door was always open; hosting the greatest family gatherings. The sounds of laughter and card shuffling could be heard around the house any day of the week.

Every fall she looked forward to her crew of pheasant hunters from Ohio. Although they came for hunting, their real delight was her home-cooked meals and delicious apple pie.

She will be greatly missed by all, especially her children Jean (Randy) Rodell, Judy (Greg) Lynch, Jeff (Elaine) Monson, John (Kim) Monson, Jim (Joan) Monson, Jerry (Brenda) Monson, Jennifer (Jason) Coester, 24 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, 3 brothers and 2 grandchildren.
