Louis Frank Lesnar, 83, of Grenville, SD died Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Strand-Kjorsvig Home, Roslyn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 Tuesday, June 2 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville.
Visitation will be from 1-4 Monday at Coester Funeral Home, Webster. Visitation will resume from 6-8 Monday at the church with a Scriptural Wake Service at 7:00.
Louis Frank Lesnar was born on February 22, 1926 in rural Grenville, SD to Stanley & Hedwig (Kurkowski) Lesnar. He attended rural country school in the Grenville area. Following school he farmed with his parents.
On July 2, 1951 he married Genevieve Snaza in Grenville. They lived and farmed in the Grenville area all their married lives until retiring in the late 1980's. They then moved into Grenville, Genevieve passed away in 1997.
In 1999, Louis moved to Roslyn where he lived for the rest of his life with his special companion Rosemary Lesnar.
Louis enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, he took great pride in farming, he was also a man of honor, who loved his grandchildren.
Grateful for having shared his life is one daughter; Kathy (James) Weyh Jr. of Watertown, SD, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
His parents, wife, and one grandchild preceded him in death.
