Kathleen Allyson Gifford, 59, of Webster, died Friday January 28, 2011 at Sanford Medical Center Clear Lake, Clear Lake, SD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 at Christ The King Catholic Church, Webster with Fr. David Axtmann officiating.

Visitation will be from 1-4 Monday at Coester Funeral Home, Webster with a 7 P.M. Rosary Service at Christ The King Catholic Church, Webster.

Kathleen Allyson Gifford, 59, of Webster, died Friday January 28, 2011 at Sanford Medical Center Clear Lake, Clear Lake, SD.

Kathleen was born on April 13, 1951 in Waubay, SD to James & Helen (Rumpza) Helms. She attended St. Otto's grade school in Webster. She graduated from Webster High School in 1969. Kathleen continued her education at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion. In 1970 she married William Gifford at Christ The King Catholic Church, Webster, SD. They lived in Rapid City, SD where she continued her education at Black Hills State. She later moved to Sioux Falls and has lived in Webster since 1980 were she worked for the Head Start Program as an aide.

Kathleen enjoyed reading, playing and listening to music, playing guitar & piano, singing, and was a cantor at Christ The King Church.

Kathleen was a member of Christ The King Church, Webster.

Grateful for having shared her life is her parents; James & Helen Helms, Webster, SD, one daughter; Carol (Andrew) Goh of Vancouver, WA, 3 grandchildren David, Daniel, & James, two brothers; Jim (Tracy) Helms of Waseca, MN and Rob (Colleen) Helms of Waseca, MN and nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal & maternal grandparents.
