Hamman
December 28, 1973 – October 31, 2025
Livesteam video can be viewed on Coester Funeral Home Facebook page.
Our beloved mother, sister, and friend, Jenny passed away unexpectedly on Friday. October 31 Jenny was born December 28, 1973, to Mary and Donovan Premus. She had a happy and warm upbringing in a family with nine siblings. A consummate Webster Bearcat, Jenny was involved in a myriad of school and community activities, as well as being a phenomenal Webster High School athlete. Jenny's smile and outgoing personality made her a friend to all, and she loved children.
A graduate of Northern State University, Jenny turned her passion into a profession becoming a life-long advocate for the down-trodden. Jenny held several professional positions servicing children and young adults in programs encompassing mental health, addiction, legal crisis, and abandonment. She was known as "Momma Jen" to the many she served. It was not only her trademark smile but her heart which impacted their lives.
In 2010, Jenny's greatest joy, Elizabeth Evelyn Hamman was born. Immeasurable love and dedication to "Lizzy" was her ultimate blessing. They enjoyed crafts, biking, fishing, and camping in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.
Grateful for sharing her life is her daughter; Elizabeth "Lizzy" Hamman of Sturgis, sister; Mona (Merrit) Jensen of Pawhuska, OK, brothers; George (Jan) Jahner of Spanish Fort, AL, Mark Premus of Bristol, John (Cheryl) Premus, of Webster, David (Cynthia) Premus of San Diego, CA, Garret (Darci) Premus of Webster, Chip Premus of Rapid City, and Calvin (Trish) Premus of Webster.
Jenny was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents, parents Mary and Donovan Premus, and two siblings, Janet and Joel.
The impact Jenny had on everyone she met is our blessing. Her smile, laugh, bubbly personality, and dedication to service will be deeply missed. May God rest her soul.
