Irene White, 94, of Roslyn died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Strand-Kjorsvig Home, Roslyn.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 Saturday, April 9, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church in Grenville.

Irene was born on March 6, 1917 in Bellplane, MN to Cornelius & Catherine (Holloran) Sullivan. She attended school at St. James Catholic School.

On June 30, 1937 she married Ernest A. White in St. Paul, MN. Irene worked several jobs in Minnesota before moving to Roslyn in 1963. Irene worked for 17 years for the Strand-Kjorsvig Rest Home in Roslyn as a nurse's aide before retiring.

Irene enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, and doing crossword puzzles.

Irene was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville.

Grateful for having shared her life is one daughter; Patricia (Tom) Helwig of Watertown, SD, 5 grandchildren; Janet (Jamey) Booterbaugh of Greensboro, NC,
Terri (Troy) Deutsch of Sioux Falls, SD, John White of Prairieville, Louisiana, Paul Helwig of Watertown, SD, & Jim White Asheboro, NC, one daughter-in-law; Maryann White of Asheboro, NC, 6 great-grandchildren; Christopher Janisch, Taylor Deutsch, Alexandrea White, Damien Helwig, Jaiden White, & Raiden Helwig.

Her parents, husband, one son, one grandson, & one sister preceded Irene in death.
