Faye was born on April 20, 1927 to Pat and Myrtle Mae (Kennedy) Malloy in Holmquist, SD. She married Norbert Gollnick on February 11, 1947. They made their home in Webster. Norbert passed away in April 1994. Faye resided in their home until 2007 when she entered Bethesda Home in Webster.

Faye enjoyed gardening, growing plentiful vegetables to feed her eight children. Gardening eventually turned into the family business, and she was proud to serve the community of Webster for nearly 40 years.

Faye also really enjoyed her flower gardens and making the yard beautiful. Therefore in her travels, nurseries and arboretums were a necessary stop.

Faye also liked to write poems in her spare time.

Music always sparked her interest. When she was young, she sang with her father in church or private events. She loved to sing but if she didn't remember the words, humming worked too. Patsy Cline was her favorite artist. And just last week she was humming "Amazing Grace" as it was her favorite song.

Nothing made her happier than spending time with family and time with grandchildren brought her the most joy. She had a nickname for most. An example may be "poops, pork chop, tweedy, sweetie, dolly" were some of them. And if you were lucky to be one of her many friends you may have had one too!

Faye was a jolly person who loved her animals, especially her dog "Katie" She was loved by and will be missed by all who knew her.

Grateful for having shared her life is her children Shannon Baier of Webster, SD, Robert6 (Beverly) Gollnick of Rapid City, SD, Gary (Gloria) Gollnick of Bradley, SD, Gail (Gary) Wolters of Lisbon, ND, and Rebecca Brunswick (partner Amy Gaikowski) of Sioux Falls, SD, 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two brothers; Dean Malloy of Las Vegas, NV, and David Malloy of Denver, CO.

Her parents, husband Norbert Gollnick, two daughters, Kathleen Furman and Rita Jaspers, & one son, Dennis Gollnick, preceded her in death.
