Evonne Rose Maag was born on November 18, 1927, to Edward & Selma (Becking) Maag.  She attended Esterly School in Florence through the 8 ^th grade.

Evonne stayed home to her family on the family farm until September 28, 1948 when she married Joseph J. Lesnar.  After their marriage they moved to the Minneapolis area, but continued to farm in the Grenville area on weekends until moving back in 1965.  They farmed until the late 1990's.  Evonne loved to work outside in the fields and in her garden.

Evonne loved to cook, bake, & entertain with family and friends, she was well known for her cinnamon rolls and her buns, but mostly Evonne loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Evonne moved to an apartment in 2009 to be closer to Joe who was in the nursing home.  She continued to live there until she became a resident at Stand-Kjorsvig Community Home in Roslyn in 2016.

Evonne was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville, St. Joseph's Altar Society, Forester's, & a 70 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 267.

Grateful for having shared her life is two daughters; Marilyn (Stan) Snaza of Roslyn, Charlotte (Terry) Kugler of Phoenix, AZ, 3 brothers; Vince (Mary) Maag of Sioux Falls, SD, Don (Delores) Maag of Florence, SD, Jerry (Lynn) Maag of MN, 2 sisters; Alice Breuer of OK, and Kim Maag of Florence, SD;  4 grandchildren; Kirk (Marne) Snaza of Sisseton, Shannon (Nate) Tenold, Ft. Collins, CO, Thad (Dally) Sichmiller of Roslyn, Todd ( Kristen) Sichmiller of IN, and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son and her bothers and sisters.
