Evelyn Beffert, 96, of Webster, SD died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Bethesda Home, Webster.
Evelyn was born on Dec 23, 1918 in Day County, SD to Vincent & Bertha (Ewalt) Sichmeller. She was the youngest of fourteen children. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic School in Grenville. Following school she worked on the family farm and at times traveled to other states helping her older brothers and sisters with their families. She than moved to Omaha, NE where she worked at the Bomber Plant during WWII.
Evelyn married Reinhardt Beffert on May 25, 1943 in Omaha. They lived in Omaha for a short time until moving to the Webster Area in 1946 where they farmed North of Webster. She helped raise 2 nieces and raised 3 of her own children while working on the farm. Evelyn also worked at the Holiday Motel in Webster for many years.
Evelyn was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church and Christ The King Altar Society.
Evelyn enjoyed gardening, canning, helping with the field work, she loved being outdoors and animals. She was a very good listener.

10 grandchildren, David (Erica) Beffert, Sonja (Nathan) Peters, Tessa Seelhorst, Jason (Courtney) Seelhorst, Shana Seelhorst, Diedra Seelhorst, Kyle (Sandra) Seelhorst, Tait Seelhorst, Kristi
(Joe) Naber, and Steve (Emilee) Trautner, and 15 great grandchildren; Braedon, Elizabeth (Libby) Michael, Destiny, D'Asia, D'Lila, Jaden, D'Andrea, Julisa, Lauren, Sophia, Soren, Raquel, Halie, Addison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1997, 7 brothers and 6 sisters, and one son.
