Eugene Goble, 70, of Ortley, SD died Sat., Oct. 29, at his residence.

Eugene was born on Sept. 2, 1946 in Staples, MN to Elmer & Marie (Bostrom) Goble. He graduated from Staples High School in 1964. Following high school Gene became a truck driver, driving for several different companies over the years.

Gene married Carol Hoffman on June 21, 1969 in Shoreview, MN. They resided in Staples, MN from 1969 until moving to Ortley in 1999.

Gene was a member of Ortley Free Lutheran Church and a life member of Ooida.

Gene enjoyed spending time with his family and trucking.

Grateful for having shared his life is his wife Carol of Ortley, three sons; David (Susie) MN, Daniel of Montana, Darren of Ortley, Two daughters; Dawn Goble of Staples, MN, Darlene (Cory) Robinson of Webster, 12 grandchildren, and two sisters; Nancy Campbell of Staples, MN, Arlene Goble of Staples, MN.

Gene was preceded in death by parents and one son Duane Isaac.
