Ed Weber, 82, of Roslyn, SD died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Strand-Kjorsvig Home in Roslyn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 Monday, Dec. 7 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville. Burial will be at 4:00 Monday at St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem, SD.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 Sunday, Dec. 6 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville with a prayer service at 7:00.
Pallbearers will be Joe Weber, Chad Barutt, Ron Hellwig, Boyd Brandsrud, Ron Nygaard, & Larry Axness.
Ed was born on November 7, 1927 in Bridgewater, SD to Joseph and Helen Weber. On November 22, 1954 he married Ione Lambertz. They lived in Salem, SD for a short period of time. In 1958 they mvoved to Pierpont, SD where Ed managed Cenex. He later managed the Cenex in Bristol. They moved to the Roslyn area in 1990.
Grateful for having shared his life is his wife Ione of Roslyn, SD, one daughter; Rene Axness of Aberdeen, SD, four sons; Brad (Brenda) Weber of Salem, SD, Paul (Teresa) Weber of Delaware, OH, Mark Weber of Salem, SD, Curtis Weber of Aberdeen, SD, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, two brothers; Ray (Rosalie) Weber of Salem, SD, Virgil (Cheryl) Weber of Newburg, OR, and three sisters; Lois (Ray) Staudenmier of Yuma, AZ, Margaret (Myron) Eich of Salem, SD, Alice (Ron) Anderson of Portland, OR.
Ed enjoyed woodworking and watching old Western movies.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.
