Ed Stahl, 81, of Webster died Wed., Apr. 5, at Bethesda Home, Webster.

Edward "Ed" Louis Stahl was born to Henry and Bertha (Meier) Stahl on January 28, 1942 in Redfield, SD. Ed attended and graduated from Redfield high school in 1960. He worked with his dad at the Conoco gas station in Redfield, while serving in the Army National Guard from 1959-1967.
Ed married the love of his life, Yvonne Kloss in 1964 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Tulare, SD. To this union, two sons were born, Alan and Loren.
Ed started working for the Redfield Post Office in 1965. He started as a letter carrier and soon became a supervisor. In 1993, Ed took a position as the Webster Postmaster where he worked until he retired in 2005.
Ed enjoyed singing and was a soloist, sang in a duet, and was a member of the church choir. He played tenor saxophone in the National Guard for several years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends while camping, fishing, and golfing. Ed's faith was very important to him as he and Yvonne were long time members of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Redfield, SD and St. John's Lutheran Church, Webster, SD.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne; two sons, Alan (Sheila) Stahl, Johnstown, NE and Loren (Robin) Stahl, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Brandon (Lacey) Stahl, Sioux Falls, SD, Cody Stahl, Hitchcock, SD, Austin Stahl, Hitchcock, SD, Haidyn Stahl, Sioux Falls, SD, and Alec Stahl, Fargo, ND; great grandson, Maddox Stahl, Sioux Fall, SD; step grandchildren, Brittney (Adam) Wermers, Colton (Luz) Schafersman, Dawson (Megan) Schafersman, Arlington, NE, and Caleb Schafersman, Johnstown, NE; step great grandchildren, Katelyn Wermers, Madison Phares, Miranda Phares, and Marissa Phares, Ainsworth, NE, Braden Schafersman and Brexten Schafersman, Hooper NE; brothers-in-law Dayton (Darlys) Kloss, Clayton (Sheryl) Kloss Tulare, SD and many loving nieces and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Bertha, and his only brother Larry.
Coester Funeral Home & Cremation Service was honored to serve the Stahl family.
