Donald Kotzea

Donald Kotzea, 63, of Aberdeen formerly Webster, died Wednesday, April 15 at Avera Mother Joseph Manor Retirement Community, Aberdeen.

Donnie was born on February 5, 1963 to Gene and Jacquline (Dokter) Kotzea in Webster, SD.  Donnie grew up on the family farm and attended school in Waubay.  Donnie enjoyed living on the farm helping with the daily chores.  Like his siblings, he loved making the short walk up to Gramma Mabel’s house for one of her delicious baking treats.

Donnie later moved to Aberdeen where he worked at various jobs.  It was also in Aberdeen that he met the love of his life Susan Forbush.  They were married on April 26, 1996 and were inseparable until the time of her death in 2021

Donnie enjoyed watching TV, playing board games and spending time with family and friends.  

Grateful for having shared his life is his brother Darrell of Watertown, Cousins and friends.

Donnie was preceded in death by his wife Susan, his parents, his sister Mari Dan brothers Ronald, Joseph, and David.
