Obituary

David Burns, 70, of Tampa, FL died Friday, November 26, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital, Tampa, FL.

David graduated from Webster High School class of 1969 and was drafted into the Army in August of 1970. He served as a radio operator in Vietnam from April of 1971 to March of 1972. David was discharged from the Army in August of 1973.

After his discharge he briefly attended Northern State College in Aberdeen. He left to pursue other interests  such as blacksmithing and furniture restoration.  He spent the last 27 plus years in Tampa FL where he enjoyed biking and reading.

David is survived by his Mother, Louise Burns, Sisters – Mary Klomps (Gordy) Rochester, MN, Lunette Grimsrud (Royce) Veblen, SD, Linda Karlins (Nat) Fargo, ND, Ann Mueller (Mark) Chamberlain, SD, Theresa Wilke (Arlyn) Albion, NE. Brothers- Michael Burns (Candace) Rapid City, SD, Thomas Burns (Mary)  Woodbury, MN, James Burns (Martha) Fargo, ND, Jerald  Burns (Holly) Sioux Falls, SD, Paul Burns West Memphis,  AK.  He is also survived by his longtime friend Anne Kramp Wesley Chapel,  FL and  many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his father, Don Burns.

David will be remembered by those who knew him for his wandering spirit and infectious smile.
