Obituary

Clark Huggett 52, of Pickerel Lake died Monday, March 23, 2009 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:30 Friday, March 27, 2009 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville.

Visitation will be from 1:00-9:00 Thursday at Coester Funeral Home, Webster with a Masonic Service at 7:30 and a Wake Service at 8:00 all at the funeral home. Visitation will resume again one hour prior to the services at the church.

Clark was born on May 1, 1956 in Webster, SD to Thomas & Darlene (Monson) Huggett Jr.. He attended school in Roslyn and graduated in 1974. Following school Clark worked with his dad at T&D Construction for many years. On June 17, 1976 he married Donna Okroi at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville. They lived in Roslyn until 2004 when they built their new home at Pickerel Lake.

As a child he enjoyed spending time on his grandparent's farm by Pierpont, this led him to begin his own farming operation, where he farmed in the Roslyn & Grenville area. Later in life Clark also continued to farm part-time with his son Sheldon .In1989 he and his wife Donna bought the Pickerel Lake Lodge. The Lodge became more than just a business to Clark – it turned into a family operation that brought together many old and new friends alike, which Clark always felt blessed with.

Clark enjoyed watching as well as assisting with coaching many of his kid's activities while they were growing up. As an adult he enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and cooking.

Clark was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville, Lake Region Shrine, Masonic Lodge Coteau Lodge #54, he was a past (current) township board member and also past Roslyn school board member.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife; Donna of Pickerel Lake, SD, two sons; Spencer (Amber) Huggett of Sioux Falls, SD, Sheldon Huggett of Pickerel Lake, SD, one daughter; Kelsey Huggett of Pickerel Lake, SD, one brother; Wayne (Misty) Huggett of Sturgis, SD, and one sister; Laurie (Don) Strege of Milbank, SD. As well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

His parents and one son, Dustin, preceded him in death.
