Charles "Chuck" Aleck, 63, of Webster died Tues., Apr. 18 at Sanford Hospital, Webster.

Chuck was born on August 9, 1959 To Hummie & Anna (Bickett) Aleck of Harrisburg. He graduated from Harrisburg High School with the class of 1977. He attended college in Tennessee and graduated from Southeast Technical College, Sioux Falls, SD with degrees in Surgical Tech & Nuclear Medicine. He was currently employed in Nuclear Medicine at Prairie Lakes Healthcare System, Watertown, SD. Chuck loved his work in Nuclear Medicine and the patients he served. Chuck was known for a positive attitude, humor and quick response. He was very knowledgeable and enjoyed engaging in a good conversation where he usually convinced someone of something.

Chuck was an active member of the United Methodist Church where he served on the church board and was always willing to help with fundraising efforts with his delicious cooking abilities. He enjoyed working Walk Through Bethlehem and informing people about Walter and Stanley, the camels. He was also a church youth leader. Chuck assisted with fundraising efforts at St. Pauli Church where he was known to sell SDSU ice cream and for his cooking. Chuck's personal relationship with his Lord and Savior was evident by those who had the privilege to know him.

Chuck was united in marriage to Bondell Raeder on July 8, 2006 at the Webster United Methodist Church. Among activities together, they enjoyed competition barbecue and won many State awards. They were planning on attending competition this summer which Chuck talked about often. Chuck and Bondell decided to build their dream home on the farm south-east of Webster. Chuck Spent countless hours designing the house and he and Bondell would take many shopping trips to Menards "just to look" which usually resulted in purchasing "something."

Chuck loved his grandkids beyond measure. Alejandro "Hondo", Pablo, Nolan, Noelle, Nora, Aiden and Maya, and knowing what they were doing in their various activities.

Chuck will be forever loved by his wife Bondell; sons, Patrick, Jeremy (Crystal) Aleck Sioux Falls, daughter, Sahra (Phil) Firestine, West Des Moines, Iowa, and 7 grandchildren, two sisters, Jackie Aleck, Harrisburg; Janet (Rahim) Salimi, of Houston, Texas, brother –in-law, Albert (Pam) Raeder, Watertown, nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends and puppy Maggie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and dogs, Hunter & Cookie.
