Cecilia Rumpza, 85, of Grenville died Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Strand-Kjorsvig Home in Roslyn.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 Sat., May 2, 2009 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery.

The Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 Sat. at the church just prior to the services.

Cecilia was born on March 4, 1924 in Grenville, SD to Peter & Theresa (Boik) Herrick. She attended school in Grenville. On June 1, 1942 she married Peter Rumpza in Grenville, SD. Cecilia lived her whole life in the Grenville area.

Cecilia enjoyed fishing, hunting, family and playing the accordion.

Cecilia was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she was the church organist during her younger years.

Grateful for having shared her life are her special friend; Melvin Block of Grenville, SD, 3 daughters; Arlene (Gary) Michlitsch Denver, CO, Barbara (Joe) Berna of Roslyn, SD, Cecilia (Rollo) Pederson, Rogers, MN, 3 sons; Peter, Thomas, & Allan Rumpza all of MT, 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and one brother; Peter Herrick.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Peter, daughter; Rita and 4 brothers and 4 sisters
