Beverly Okroi, 61, of Roslyn, SD died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 as the result of an automobile accident near Webster.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 Tuesday, January 4, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at Coester Funeral Home Monday, Jan. 3 from 1-4 with a 7 P.M. Rosary Service at the church in Grenville.
Beverly (Bevy) Jean Okroi was born October 3, 1949 to Harold and Betty (Bentley) Christopher in Spokane, Washington. She attended elementary, junior high and high school in Spokane, graduating from Rogers High School in 1968. Her family enjoyed many camping trips and vacations, using their trailer to travel to many sites in the Western United States and Canada. Beverly met her first husband, Gary Zeller and had five children Patricia, Daniel, Andrew, Mathew & Mark. While in Minnesota Beverly worked at Minnesota Rubber.
She moved to South Dakota in 1992, where she had the good fortune to meet and marry Henry Okroi, becoming a part of his family. Beverly ran JAK's Foods in Roslyn. Beverly was a very hardworking, outgoing woman, working at Rosie's in Roslyn, selling handmade items at craft fairs, and as a home healthcare worker. She made friends wherever she went, and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Beverly was a member of the Order of Eastern Star & Rainbow Girls.
Beverly is survived by her step father; Samuel Rothwell of WA, husband Henry Okroi Roslyn, SD, two daughters; Patty (Adam) Wells, Las Vegas, NV, Kate Okroi, North Carolina, four sons; Danny Zeller, Las Vegas, NV, Andrew Zeller, Fargo, ND, Adam Okroi, Roslyn, SD and Joseph Okroi, Webster, SD, and nine grandchildren. She also leaves behind a brother, Bruce Christopher, Oklahoma City, OK, and her sister Susan (Darrell) Libby of Spokane, Washington.
Her parents and two sons preceded her in death.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, and sister and she will be greatly missed.
