Bernice Snaza, 79, of Grenville died Friday, May 30, 2014 at Sun Dial Manor, Bristol.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 Thursday, June 5 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenville. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Grenville.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 4 from 5-7 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with a Rosary service at 7 at the church. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.

Bernice F. Snaza was born March 8, 1935 to Theodore & Rose (Kwasniewski) Kurkowski on the family farm near Grenville.

Bernice attended grade school in rural Grenville, then high school at St. Joseph's Catholic School. After graduation she worked for a short time in Minneapolis, MN. She then moved back to Grenville and worked at Webster Hospital as a nurse's aide.

On June 6, 1956 she married Anthony P. Snaza. They made their home South of Grenville. From that union they had four children.

Bernice was a devoted farm wife and mother she enjoyed sewing, needlework, journaling, collecting cookbooks, flowers, and being out doors. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends.

Bernice is survived by her husband Anthony, two sons, Wayne (Jackie) Snaza of Webster, SD, Ron (Darlou) of Aberdeen, SD, one daughter, Ann (Mike) Perell of Rush City, MN, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren, four sisters, three brothers, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Dennis Snaza, one grandson, two sisters, and one brother.
